Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) team. You will be responsible for carrying out routine water hygiene monitoring and minor remedial works in accordance with ACOP L8, HSG274 and company procedures. Reporting via phone to our Wigan based office, you will work primarily in the North West of England with occasional / rota based national travel and overnight stays required to support our national contracts throughout the UK.

- Legionella Temperature Monitoring
- Shower Descaling
- Expansion Vessel Maintenance
- Calorifier Inspections
- Water Tank Inspections
- Water Sampling
- Cleaning & Disinfections
- TMV Servicing
- General Servicing / Remedial Works
- Digital reporting using mobile software
- Reporting defects requiring remedial works
- Working in accordance with current H&S legislation and ACOP L8 and HSG 274
- Maintaining company vehicle and equipment

Standard working hours - 38 hour week
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm
Friday 8am to 2:30pm
Overtime rates:
· Overtime paid at x1.5 weekdays
- Double time Sundays/Bank Holidays
- Travel time – flat rate
Essential
- Minimum 1 year's Water Hygiene experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage own work load
- Excellent organisation
- Good time keeping
- The ability to work to deadlines
- The ability to communicate and build good working relationships with clients
- The ability to use android applications to carry out paperless surveys
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable using mobile apps/tablets

This role involves lifting equipment, working at height using ladders, accessing roof spaces and plant rooms, and working in a variety of commercial environments.

Full Time – Permanent role
Successful applicants will be subject to a three-month probationary period
