Overview
Join a nursery where relationships matter.
At Rodley Village Day Nursery, we are a long-established, family-owned private nursery group with two highly respected settings in Rodley and Calverley, caring for up to 85 children each day. Unlike larger nursery chains, our owners are actively involved in the day-to-day running of both nurseries, providing genuine support, guidance and an open-door approach.
Many of our team have been with us for years, something we're incredibly proud of. We have built a warm, welcoming and supportive culture where staff are encouraged to grow professionally while always putting children at the heart of everything we do.
We are now looking for an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead our Rodley Village Day Nursery.
This is not a role for someone taking their first step into management.
We are seeking an experienced, confident and inspiring leader who has already demonstrated success managing a busy private day nursery and who shares our passion for delivering exceptional care and education for every child.
Responsibilities
As Nursery Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership to an established and dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and early years education are consistently delivered.
Working alongside the owner, you will have the autonomy to lead your team while benefiting from ongoing support, collaboration and shared expertise across both nursery settings.
You will be responsible for:

- Supporting, mentoring and coaching staff to continually develop their practice.
- Delivering in-house training and promoting a culture of continuous professional development.
- Building outstanding relationships with children, families, professionals and the wider community.
- Maintaining compliance across all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Driving continuous improvement whilst preserving our warm family ethos.
- Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and training to staff members
- Oversee the planning and delivery of age-appropriate educational activities and programmes
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and developmental progress of all children in care
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation within the nursery environment
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements
- Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, offering regular updates on their child's progress
- Manage administrative tasks including enrolments, record keeping, and scheduling
- Monitor staff performance, conduct appraisals, and facilitate professional development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Coordinate with external agencies or professionals when necessary for specialised support or assessments
