The usual working hours are approximately 9:00am to 3:00pm, making this a great opportunity for anyone looking for daytime work.

The hotel is ideally located a short distance from the historic city centre of York and has good transport links.
The Role: Room Attendant
As a Room Attendant, you’ll play an important part in creating a great experience for hotel guests. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and preparing hotel bedrooms and bathrooms
- Making beds and ensuring rooms are presented to a high standard
- Maintaining cleanliness, presentation and attention to detail
- Working efficiently as part of a friendly and supportive team
This is a physical and demanding role. You’ll be on your feet, moving around and carrying out repetitive cleaning tasks, so you need to be prepared for a hands-on job.
However, the work is also rewarding. Every room you clean helps create a comfortable and welcoming space for our clients’ guests, giving you the satisfaction of seeing the results of your hard work.
No previous housekeeping experience is required, as full training will be provided. What matters most is that you are reliable, hardworking, keen to learn and have a positive attitude and commitment to doing a great job.
We have opportunities to suit different levels of availability, including:
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Friday and Saturday
- Saturday and Sunday
- Any one or two of these days
- Additional hours may be available depending on hotel requirements
If you are flexible and available to work additional days when required, there may also be opportunities to work up to five days per week during busy periods.
