Palm2Palm Care is looking for an experienced and motivated Domiciliary Care Registered Manager to lead and develop our care service in Enfield.
The successful candidate will have strong experience within domiciliary care and a thorough understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, care planning, incident management and staff management. You will be responsible for ensuring that the service provides safe, effective and person-centred care while maintaining high standards of compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the domiciliary care service.
- Ensure the service remains compliant with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
- Lead, support and supervise care coordinators, field supervisors and care staff.
- Complete and review care plans, risk assessments and service-user reviews.
- Monitor the quality and safety of care through audits, spot checks and staff observations.
- Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents and investigations appropriately.
- Oversee staff recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance management.
- Ensure care visits are properly allocated and delivered according to each service user’s care plan.
- Maintain accurate staff and service-user records.
- Work closely with service users, families, healthcare professionals and local authorities.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, which is shared and rotated with other office staff.
- Respond appropriately to urgent staffing or care-related matters while on call.
- Support the growth and development of the service while maintaining care quality.
Essential requirements:
- Previous management experience within a domiciliary care service.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the Health and Social Care Act.
- Experience managing care staff and overseeing care delivery in the community.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, medication management, risk assessments and person-centred care planning.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complaints, incidents and staff performance confidently.
- Willingness and ability to participate in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or currently working towards it.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
- Experience preparing for and supporting CQC inspections.
- Knowledge of electronic care planning and rota-management systems.
- Experience working with local authorities and other healthcare professionals.
- Experience supporting business development and attracting new care packages.
