Summary
The Governors of Singleton Primary School are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced professional to join our team in a dual role as a Teaching Assistant and Family Learning Mentor. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in our warm, nurturing village school.
Role Overview
Morning Teaching Assistant (EYFS / Y1/2 & Whole School Support)
You will support children within the EYFS / Y1/2 classrooms and work with pupils across school who have complex needs, including SEN, mental health, social and emotional needs. Lunchtime playground support.
Afternoon Learning Mentor
You will deliver some targeted interventions to support pupils social, emotional, behavioural and wellbeing needs.
The role includes:
- Targeted 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with complex additional needs, including social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs
Working collaboratively with the District 4 Inclusion Hub to ensure all available support and interventions are accessed for pupils

- Providing parenting advice and signposting to Child & Family Wellbeing services
- Leading the Early Help Assessment (EHA) process as required
- Acting as Lead Professional for Team Around the Family (TAF) plans
- Supporting behaviour, attendance and punctuality
- Liaising with SLT, SENCO and external agencies
- Behaviour support and development during lunchtime play
- Acting as Deputy DSL
- Home Visits

Essential Qualifications
- Recognised and relevant NVQ Level 2 or above qualification (or equivalent).
GCSE Grade C or above in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
