Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and experienced Lead Driver to oversee delivery operations and ensure the safe, timely transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in warehouse logistics. Duties
- Complete multi-drop delivery routes safely and efficiently.
- Support and guide delivery drivers throughout the day.
- Assist with route planning, vehicle checks, and daily dispatch.
- Monitor driver performance and ensure company standards are met.
- Resolve on-road operational issues and communicate with the management team.
- Promote excellent customer service and safe working practices.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (required).
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
- Experience leading or mentoring a team is desirable.
- Flexibility to work variable hours as required by operational needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise others effectively.
