Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a lively bar environment, ensuring patrons enjoy a memorable experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills while working in a dynamic setting. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Duties
- Serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and courteously
- Take orders from guests and provide recommendations to enhance their experience
- Prepare drinks according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Assist with food preparation or serving when required, supporting the kitchen team as needed
- Manage cash register operations accurately and handle payments securely
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety standards are upheld
- Restock bar supplies and organise storage areas regularly to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of beverages
- Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks when necessary
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Outstanding guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude towards upselling and enhancing guest satisfaction
