Pressford Shutters & Shopfronts Ltd is looking for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident working independently and wants to take responsibility for the manufacture of aluminium shopfronts, doors and windows from start to finish.
The successful candidate will be responsible for running the aluminium fabrication side of the workshop, with support available from other members of staff within the yard.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day manufacture of aluminium products, including:
- Aluminium shopfronts
- Aluminium doors
- Aluminium windows
- Commercial aluminium frames and associated products
- Cutting, machining, fabrication and assembly
- Working from technical drawings and job specifications
- Measuring and checking components throughout the manufacturing process
- Ensuring finished products are manufactured accurately and to a high standard
- Organising your workload to meet production deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
This is a solo fabrication role, so the successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of the manufacturing process and manage jobs through the workshop. You will, however, have support from other staff working within the yard when required.
Workshop Machinery
Our workshop is equipped with modern aluminium fabrication machinery, including:
- Pertici CNC machine
- Pertici double-headed saw
- Elumatec crimper
- Elumatec end miller
Experience operating CNC machinery and aluminium fabrication equipment would be highly advantageous however full training can be provided
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced aluminium fabricator who:
- Has previous experience in aluminium fabrication
- Ideally has experience manufacturing shopfronts, doors and windows
- Is confident reading and working from fabrication drawings
- Can work independently and manage their own workload
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work
- Is confident using workshop machinery
- Can work accurately to measurements and specifications
- Is reliable, organised and hardworking
- Has a good understanding of workshop health and safety
- Is willing to take responsibility for the quality and completion of their work
Experience with commercial aluminium systems and shopfront fabrication is highly desirable.

About the Position
This role would suit an experienced aluminium fabricator who is capable of working on their own initiative and taking responsibility for the complete manufacturing process.
You will have your own responsibility within the workshop, while still being part of a wider team with support available from other staff in the yard.
