The Role, Responsibilities & You:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to slot into our small but already settled & established team. The role would suit someone in a similar position within a restaurant business or someone already highly competent at supervisory level looking to take the next step.
A thorough knowledge of food & service is an absolute must & a basic knowledge of wine is also desirable although training will be given and is ongoing & you must be able to learn quickly and independently to expand this as much as possible.
Basic responsibilities will include openings, closes and everything in between - being the standard bearer of cleanliness, work ethic and running a great service by looking after our much valued guests on a daily basis as well as financial responsibilities and site security. Progression and bringing new ideas will also be important while working with staff to coach & train to higher levels.
This will include working together with the front of house manager but also independently & while full training & guidance will be given initiative is important to be on the front foot and get things done.
On offer & requirements:
This is a permanent, full time position, across 5 days per week, around 45 hours per week on average. Shifts will generally include 3 evenings (Monday-Thursday) as well as split/double shifts on Friday & Saturday. You will also be required to work Sundays during bank holiday weekends and very occasionally throughout the year if events are booked, there will be an extra day off during the week to accommodate this.
- Salary can be discussed based on experience, including a share of service charge and cash tips this will be the equivalent of a minimum of £16-£18 per hour.
