Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our team for our venue in Dagenham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background gymnastics with a British Gymnastics qualification in gymnastics and also pre-school, with the ability to educate and inspire young gymnasts of various skill levels. This role involves developing lesson plans, ensuring the safety of all participants, and fostering a positive and encouraging environment for athletes to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement gymnastics training sessions tailored to the needs and abilities of individual gymnasts.
- Coaching primary aged gymnasts
- Setting up/down of the gym equipment for sessions
- Teaching good execution and techniques, skills, and routines to enhance their performance.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help gymnasts improve their skills.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a clean and organised training environment.
- Monitor the progress of each gymnast and adjust training plans as necessary.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among athletes.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with coaching qualifications and safeguarding.
- Instilling good gymnastics foundations
- Teaching to a high standard
Requirements
- Level 2 gymnastics coach, level 1 may be considered.
- Pre-school qualification is desirable
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics, rules, and skills for each age group.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A passion for educating others and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sport.
- DBS, Safeguarding and British Gymnastics membership
Shifts Available:
Wednesdays: 2pm-5:30pm
Pay Rate is dependent on qualification
