Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of vehicles, ensuring a flawless and durable surface. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment. Prior experience with automotive painting and familiarity with spray equipment are highly desirable.
Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Operate spray guns and other power tools to apply primer, base coats, and clear coats with precision.
- Mix paints and colours accurately according to specifications.
- Perform quality checks on painted surfaces for smoothness, colour consistency, and finish quality.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of spray equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer or in a similar automotive refinishing role is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for understanding equipment operation and troubleshooting issues.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray guns is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or materials safely.
- Familiarity with colour matching techniques and automotive paint systems is advantageous.
