Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by assisting with various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics. This position requires strong communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move goods safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of deliveries, ensuring that items are handled with care.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktaking as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory levels and order statuses.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Drive flatbed lorries or vans for deliveries when necessary, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Valid driver's licence with experience driving flatbed lorries or vans is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in the maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate teamwork.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to safety standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the operational needs of the warehouse.
