A rare opportunity has arisen. We are looking for a passionate Gardener to join the award winning team here at The Tawny!
Main Responsibilities:
- As part of the Garden Team you will work to maintain the Hotel grounds, gardens, and woodlands to a high standard of presentation
- Varied tasks will include pedestrian and ride-on mowing, strimming, hedge-trimming, leaf/debris clearance, pruning, weeding, planting, etc.
- There may be the opportunity to assist in the Gardens at our Self-Catering Cottages and for this a driving licence would be advantageous
Qualities we are looking for:
· A positive attitude – able to work as part of a small team as well as working independently at times
· High personal standards of work – we are striving to continually improve the presentation of the gardens so you will need to care about doing a good job
· Enthusiastic and willing to learn – we will provide training and risk assessments to help you carry out your role safely and effectively
· Some experience of working in a similar role and an interest in plants and gardens would be an advantage, as would any related certificates such as chainsaw, spraying etc
· You must be suited to outdoor physical work in all weathers
