Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of all linen and laundry items, contributing to the overall guest experience. Previous hotel experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and process laundry items according to established procedures
- Operate laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all linen and towels are cleaned, pressed, and stored in an organised manner
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linen for guest rooms
- Follow all safety protocols when handling chemicals or operating machinery
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift laundry loads as required
- Willingness to follow health and safety guidelines diligently
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
