Job Title: One:one Day Service Support Worker
Location: Crackermac Day Service and Heather Lane Nursery Service
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 4 days per week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - 9am - 3:30pm
Weekends & Bank Holidays Off
Crackermac is a friendly, creative day service supporting adults with learning disabilities. Our arts and crafts–based service provides a safe, inclusive space where individuals can express themselves, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful activities.
We are looking for a Support Worker to join our team on a permanent basis, working 4 days per week. This role will be supporting an individual on a one:one bases.
Previous care experience is essential - Managing challenging behaviours.
It is important to us that our clients have a range of activities to choose from, as part of your job role, you may need to encourage the client to try different activities.
The ideal candidate needs to have a good understanding of Autism and the importance of following care plans.
Responsibilities will include,
· Supporting and setting up the client with their day service activities
· Personal care if needed
· Undertaking online courses and group training
· Helping with drink preparation and meal times
