Kinwood Care Limited is a specialist residential care provider supporting adults with complex needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health conditions. You will take the senior leadership role at night at a service with 2 complex individuals, you will be responsible for running the night team shift

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Night Senior Team Leader to support the delivery of safe, structured, and therapeutic care within one of our specialist residential services.
This is a pivotal role combining direct support responsibilities with team leadership and shift coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Shift Coordination
- Lead and coordinate staff teams during shifts to ensure safe, person-centred care
- Model and reinforce DBT-informed and trauma-sensitive practice
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and positive role modelling to Support Workers
- Ensure accurate documentation (care notes, handovers, incident reports)
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure compliance with care plans and policy
Care Delivery & Support
- Support residents in line with individual care plans, promoting dignity and autonomy
- Build consistent, therapeutic relationships
- Support emotional regulation and de-escalation using DBT-informed tools
- Assist with crisis intervention where required
- Administer and monitor medication in line with MAR guidance (after training)
Staff Development & Communication
- Support induction and training of new team members
- Facilitate reflective debriefs following incidents
- Provide feedback to management on staff development needs
- Contribute to team meetings and service development
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure risk assessments are followed and reviewed
- Monitor environmental safety and report maintenance issues
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns in line with policy

Qualifications & ExperienceEssential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in adult residential care
- Experience leading shifts or mentoring staff
- Knowledge of Autism, Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health needs
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally dynamic environment
Desirable:
- Experience in a CQC-regulated service
- Training or awareness in DBT or trauma-informed practice
- First Aid, MAPA (or equivalent), Medication Administration Training
- Willingness to complete Level 4 or 5 qualification
