We are seeking a Head of Technical Services to act as the senior technical lead and trusted advisor across the estate, providing strategic leadership, technical governance, and subject matter expertise to support operational delivery, major projects, estate transformation, and long-term infrastructure planning.
Reporting to the Key Account Director, the role will work closely with senior customer stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational requirements, capital investment programmes, estate strategy, and future business objectives.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced technical leader to provide independent technical advice and assurance across engineering, asset management, compliance, operational resilience, sustainability, and project delivery.
A key focus of the role will be supporting the LSP Major Project and other significant change programmes, acting as the technical authority throughout planning, design, implementation, and handover phases while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, operational teams, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical authority across the estate, providing strategic leadership and technical direction.
- Serve as the informed technical stakeholder for the LSP Major Project and other major capital and transformation programmes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, providing technical insight and challenge to support investment and business planning decisions.
- Build strong relationships across the Bank, ISS leadership teams, operational functions, and O&M teams to support strategic estate objectives.
- Provide governance and assurance across engineering operations, including infrastructure, asset performance, lifecycle planning, compliance, audits, and risk assessments.
- Lead the development, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) within critical facilities.
- Provide technical leadership on health, safety, compliance, safe systems of work, and operational resilience across complex environments.
- Support operational excellence through innovation, sustainability, continuous improvement, data-led decision-making, and the development of engineering and technical teams.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Extensive experience in technical services, engineering management, facilities management, or estate management environments.
- Demonstrable experience operating at senior leadership level within complex, multi-stakeholder organisations.

- Experience supporting large-scale estate investment and infrastructure projects.

- Strong health and safety leadership experience, including management of safe systems of work.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
