People Relations Partner – UK & Ireland
£35,000 – £40,000 | 12 Month FTC | Predominantly Home-Based
Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys getting stuck into Employee Relations, complex case management and coaching managers through challenging people situations?
We're recruiting confidentially on behalf of a large, established global organisation looking for a People Relations Partner to join its UK & Ireland People team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a predominantly home-based position, offering plenty of flexibility, with travel to UK offices and sites as required. There may also be occasional European travel.

- Advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, conduct and other sensitive people matters
- Coaching managers through difficult conversations and conflict resolution
- Providing practical, commercially focused advice while managing potential people and business risks
- Ensuring HR policies and employment legislation are applied consistently
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple UK & Ireland locations
- Working collaboratively with Trade Unions and Works Councils
- Supporting organisational change, restructures and wider HR projects
- Helping to implement European and global People initiatives across the business
- Supporting employees and managers outside of the UK where required
- Supporting UK & Ireland employee benefits, including Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Income Protection and pension arrangements
- Supporting payroll governance, audit and compliance requirements
- Contributing to wider People projects across the organisation
What Are We Looking For?
You could currently be working as an HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor, Employee Relations Advisor, People Partner or HR Business Partner and be looking for a role where you can take real ownership.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Strong Employee Relations and complex case management experience
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law
- Confidence advising, coaching and constructively challenging managers
- Experience supporting organisational change, restructures or HR projects
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders across different locations
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced environment would be advantageous
- Experience within a global or matrix organisation would be beneficial
- Trade Union and/or Works Council exposure would be advantageous
- Benefits and payroll exposure would be beneficial
- CIPD qualification or equivalent would be desirable
- Flexibility to travel to UK offices/sites when required, with occasional European travel
Most importantly, you'll be approachable, pragmatic and resilient. You'll enjoy building relationships but won't shy away from challenging conversations or complex ER matters.
