Job Title: Technical Business Analyst
About the Job you are considering:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our Discovery Team. You will contribute to all aspects of the discovery process, including requirements gathering, technical analysis, system documentation, process modelling, and specification development for engineering teams.
This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical domains within a global and fast-paced environment.
You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of information between stakeholders and delivery teams, supporting the creation of well-defined, actionable requirements that enable successful solution delivery.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Capture, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions.
- Produce high-quality documentation including:
- User Stories
- Acceptance Criteria
- Functional Requirements
- Technical Specifications
- Maintain accurate project documentation using Confluence, Jira, and related collaboration tools.
- Ensure requirements are organized, traceable, and aligned with business objectives and technical capabilities.
Facilitate requirement clarification sessions and support backlog refinement activities.

Technical & Solution Support
- Collaborate closely with Architects and Technical Leads to translate business requirements into logical technical solutions.
- Contribute to discussions around:
- Integration patterns
- System interactions
- Data flows
- Data dependencies
- Participate in solution design workshops to validate requirements and assess technical feasibility.
- Support engineering teams by providing requirement clarifications throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Assist with API and interface requirement analysis.

Continuous Learning & Domain Knowledge
- Develop a strong understanding of Commercial Insurance processes including:
- Underwriting
- Policy Administration
- Claims Management
- Build knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, business analysis best practices, and Agile delivery methodologies.
Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.

Required Experience
- Experience working as a Business Analyst within a technology-driven environment
- Experience working closely with software engineering, architecture, and delivery teams.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements.
- Exposure to Commercial Insurance, Financial Services, or other regulated industries is advantageous.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
