We are seeking a reliable Part-time Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to our clients. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, to deliver goods to various locations
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule requirements
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring they are secured during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van, or lorry)
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to organise deliveries efficiently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems
- Previous experience as a <PERSON> driver is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
