Learning Support Assistant
Location: Southampton
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £92–£105 per day
Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Southampton.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting pupils across the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.
The Role:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, both in and outside the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning support.
- Help pupils access the curriculum, reinforcing key concepts and instructions.
- Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence in learning.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children or young people's learning is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
