Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Body Shop Service Advisor to join our professional team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating vehicle repairs and ensuring a smooth service experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and sales abilities within a reputable automotive environment. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport from the outset
- Assess customer needs and provide detailed explanations of repair procedures and estimates
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and communicate updates to customers
- Upsell additional services or repairs where appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and workshop productivity
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, customer details, and vehicle histories
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Keep the reception area tidy and organised, presenting a professional image at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in an automotive environment essential. Would suite some one wishing to come from the shop floor in to the office or maybe a previous parts advisor looking to expand their career.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with diverse clients
- Basic mechanical knowledge or understanding of vehicle repair processes is advantageous
- Proven ability in upselling services in a professional manner
- Competent in handling cash transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
