Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and well-established workshop in Bristol. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with a competitive salary of up to £50,000 per year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and compliant with all industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
Perform diagnostics and fault finding using modern diagnostic equipment
Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Ensure all work is carried out to DVSA and manufacturer standards
Accurately complete job cards and service records
Identify additional repair work and report to the workshop controller
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
Requirements
Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence beneficial but not essential
