Event Management Trainee | London, UK | Full-Time | Entry Level
Love meeting people, creating great experiences and being part of something happening?
If you're confident, energetic and naturally enjoy working with people, this Event Management Trainee opportunity could be the perfect starting point for your career.
We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our London team in a customer-facing event environment. You'll be involved in engaging with customers and guests, supporting event activities and helping create professional, memorable experiences.
No previous event management experience is required — full training and ongoing coaching will be provided.
Where people and events come together
Great events aren't just about planning. They're about people.
You'll be one of the friendly faces helping customers feel welcome, informed and engaged. From initial conversations to event-day support, you'll develop practical experience while learning how successful events are delivered.
You'll get involved with:
- Welcoming and engaging with customers and event attendees
- Creating a friendly and professional customer experience
- Supporting event promotions and customer engagement activities
- Providing information about events, services and activities
- Assisting with event preparation and coordination
- Helping manage customer enquiries and requests
- Supporting event-day activities and team priorities
- Building positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Working towards team performance and service objectives
- Developing communication, coordination and event management skills
Sound like you?
We're looking for personality, enthusiasm and potential rather than years of experience.
You could be a great match if you:
- Genuinely enjoy meeting and talking to people
- Communicate confidently and professionally
- Are friendly, approachable and customer-focused
- Stay positive when working in a busy environment
- Enjoy being part of a team and contributing to shared goals
- Are organised and comfortable managing different priorities
- Take initiative and aren't afraid to get involved
- Adapt quickly when plans change
- Have experience in hospitality, retail, customer service, sales or events — although this isn't essential
- Are ambitious and excited to develop a career in events
Requirements
This is a genuine entry-level opportunity, so previous event management experience is not required.
We're looking for candidates with strong communication, people skills, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided to help you build confidence in customer engagement and event operations.
Experience
Previous experience in relevant event management, customer-facing, hospitality, retail, sales, marketing, administration, operations, or related roles is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
What You'll Receive
You'll join a team where development is encouraged and potential is recognised.
You'll receive:
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses.
- Comprehensive training and ongoing coaching.
- Clear career progression opportunities.
- Leadership development and mentoring.
- Recognition and reward programmes.
- Team socials and networking events.
- National and international travel opportunities.
- A supportive, collaborative, and inclusive working environment.
Career Development
Start with the customer, learn the event environment and build towards leadership.
As your confidence and experience grow, you'll have opportunities to take on more responsibility across customer engagement, event coordination and team support.
Potential progression:
Event Management Trainee → Event Coordinator → Senior Event Coordinator → Event Manager
Progression will depend on performance, capability, development and business requirements.
Why Join Us?
If you enjoy being around people, no two event days are exactly the same. You'll learn by getting involved, developing your communication skills and gaining hands-on experience in a customer-facing environment.
For ambitious freshers and graduates, this is an opportunity to turn people skills into professional skills while building towards a long-term career in event management, customer experience or team leadership.
