Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and efficient experienced Legal Secretary or Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support within our Conveyancing Department. The ideal candidate will be experienced and posses excellent communication skills, and demonstrate strong organisational abilities. Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and type legal documents for our Conveyancing Department with accuracy using audio typing and standard word processing tools
- Manage and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is correctly filed and easily retrievable
- Use a case management system
- Organise appointments, meetings, and court dates, ensuring effective time management
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and external agencies via phone, email, and written correspondence
- Utilise Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook to prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Assist with general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and data entry
- Support the legal team by preparing reports, and other legal paperwork as required
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
Requirements
- Proven administrative experience, preferably within a Conveyancing environment
- Excellent audio typing skills with high accuracy and speed
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software programmes quickly
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and confidentiality are essential for success in this role
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £23,660.00-£24,570.00 per year
