Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Baking team in the role of <NIGHTSHIFT SKILLED BAKER>. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic food production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and baking of a variety of home baked foods, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in Baking and a desire to grow within the Baking industry.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and standards.
- Preparing and measuring ingredients for baking.
- Cook a variety of baking produce, ensuring consistency and presentation meet company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area according to food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Support the team during busy periods, ensuring timely service delivery
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold food safety standards
- Contribute ideas for menu development and improvement
- Bake rolls with the ability to knead dough & hand pin
- Cook and have experience in hot plate work
Skills
- Experience in food production or food preparation is highly desirable
- Practical knowledge of cooking techniques across different baking
- Experience in baking/pastry work/potatoe scones/rolls/scones/crumpets and tea bread
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Previous baking or kitchen experience preferred but not essential for motivated learners
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attendance and time keeping compulsory for role
