We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Cabling Engineer support technician to join our team in a varied and versatile role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in network infrastructure, cabling systems, and ideally have experience in IP based CCTV installation. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Ideally the candidate will also have experience in general day to day support desk functionality, with a knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and applications, as when required.
Responsibilities
Network Cabling:
- Installation, and maintenance of structured cabling systems (copper and fibre optic).
- Install and configure network switches, routers, and other network devices.
- Termination of various cable types (RJ45, fibre optic connectors).
- Troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
- Installation of network racks and cabinets.
- Installation, configuration, and testing of IP based CCTV systems.
Support Desk Technician:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Install and configure computer hardware and software.
- Assist with user account management and password resets.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of support tickets and resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and cabling standards.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid full UK driving license and willingness to travel to job sites.

- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends when required.
