After School Club playworker / Practitioner – Dragonflies Childcare, Chandlers Ford
Welcome to Dragonflies Childcare in Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh – the most in-demand, family-ethos After School Club in the area!
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organised individual to join our After School and Holiday Club for primary school-aged children. (Ages 5-11).
This is a hands-on role that combines caring, planning, and play! You’ll help create a warm, fun, and safe environment where children can thrive.
We work closely with St Francis School in Chandlers Ford, just a short walk from our setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with a small team of passionate childcare staff
- Support and engage with children during After School and Holiday Club sessions
- Plan and deliver fun, varied activities and themed days
- Build strong relationships with parents, schools, and colleagues

Hours:
Term Time:
Monday to Friday:
Breakfast club: 7am-9am
After school: 2:45 pm – 6:00 pm
School Holidays:
Open 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (cover occasional days when required, can be flexible)
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant childcare field or at least willing to do the training as part of the role.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Leadership experience is desirable but not essential
- An interest in outdoor learning and Forest School would be an added bonus
