Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while supporting children's developmental needs. The Nursery Practitioner Level 3 will be responsible for delivering high-quality childcare and educational activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Lead and support junior staff members, providing guidance and mentorship to promote team cohesion
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns
- Organise the daily operation of the nursery to ensure smooth running of activities
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and stimulating, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery policies and procedures
- Assist with administrative duties related to childcare records and compliance documentation
- Drive nursery vehicles when required for outings or transportation needs
Requirements
- Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or similar setting
- Extensive experience working with children in early years environments
- Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
- Organised with the ability to plan effectively and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or equipment when necessary
- Commitment to safeguarding procedures and maintaining high standards of care
Pay: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
