Support a Vibrant Young Adult to Live Life Her Way
We're looking for compassionate, enthusiastic female Support Workers to join a dedicated new team supporting a vibrant young adult with complex physical and communication needs.
She is sociable, fun-loving and determined to live life to the fullest. Passionate about maintaining her independence, she's looking for people who will empower her to achieve her goals, pursue her interests and embrace every opportunity life has to offer.
Music plays a huge part in her life. She loves attending concerts, meeting artists, collecting memorabilia and expressing her creativity through themed outfits and personalised merchandise. She also enjoys shopping, spending time with family, meeting celebrities at events and staying connected through social media and technology. Your role will be to support her to enjoy these passions safely while encouraging new experiences, personal growth and independence.
At home, you'll help create a structured, enjoyable and meaningful daily routine that reflects her interests and aspirations. This may include supporting creative activities, developing everyday life skills, preparing for outings or encouraging hobbies away from screens, always promoting choice, independence and wellbeing.
Life outside the home is varied and exciting. You'll support her to enjoy shopping trips, caf visits, concerts, holidays, special events and, where appropriate, exciting adventure activities. You'll also play an important role in helping her maintain friendships, build new relationships and remain an active member of her local community.
Communication is central to this role. Although she is non-verbal, she communicates effectively through vocalisations and assistive technology. We're looking for patient, observant people who are willing to learn her unique communication style, ensuring her wishes, choices and preferences remain at the heart of every aspect of her support.
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for someone who is energetic, creative and genuinely person-centred. Working closely with her family and a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide consistent, high-quality support that promotes dignity, independence, choice and an outstanding quality of life.
If you're passionate about making a real difference and want a role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
