We currently have a vacancy at the Lawn Café as an Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will become part of a fantastic team, helping to ensure we consistently deliver exceptional coffee, delicious food, and warm, welcoming hospitality.

Stokes Tea & Coffee has over 120 years of passion and know-how in sourcing, roasting and blending its tea and coffee, supplying businesses locally and across the UK with exceptional quality. We operate three destination cafés across Lincolnshire. Each café offers a unique ambience, fresh, quality produce and of course the best coffee, which we roast on site, at The Lawn Café. What We Are Looking For
- You will an ambitious, focused individual, likely to already have café management experience but wanting to deliver more.
- You will have a business mindset and be comfortable with working with KPIs, in particular understand forecasting and adjusting these in light of day-to-day changes.
- A natural problem solver and leader, you will be proactive and comfort to solve day-to-day issues pragmatically but in keeping with company standards and protocols.
- You will drive a culture of learning and sharing knowledge and create a positive, fun atmosphere to motivate the team to deliver the superb British hospitality that Stokes prides itself on.
- You will support and deputise for the General Manger across operational and people matters.
- Barista skills or experience / understanding of the demands of the kitchen will be a bonus.
What You’ll Be Doing
Our Customers and Teams are at the heart of everything we do. As a Stokes Assistant Manager you will use your initiative to ensure the café runs smoothly and all of our customers leave feeling happy and satisfied with the service provided. You will lead by example: maintaining the highest standards, as well as create a positive, fun atmosphere to motivate the team to deliver the superb British hospitality that Stokes prides itself on. You will work in conjunction with the wider management team to establish effective process and deliver consistently excellent customer service.
