Job Title: Pest Control Field Support Supervisor (FSS)

Working Hours: 42 5 Hours Per Week
Job Purpose:
To Manage a team of Pest Control Technicians and Support Techs within a specified region and to control all pest species covered under customer specifications and by thorough inspection, identify any environmental conditions conducive to any pest activity to ensure a smooth and productive delivery across the customer base
Key Responsibilities:
- To represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with City and its core customer base
- Oversee the eradication of pest infestation within any Red Stores as published on the Weekly Pest control Report
- To ensure all practices and procedure are audited on a frequent basis (Quality Reviews & Quality Audits) to ensure that technicians and third parties are delivering to a satisfactory standard
- To ensure that all members of the PEST team comply with all Health and Safety regulations and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times
- To ensure the team complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times
- To work with the company and its customer base to ensure colleagues adhere to laid-down standards of quality and compliance are maintained at all times
- To Supervise & support delivery of the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork and software systems is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures
- To complete detailed audit / inspections to Red Pest Control Stores in accordance with customer escalation procedures and service level delivery / specifications
- Supervise all other pest proofing works, ensuring that competitive prices have been obtained and the works are implemented correctly
- Carry out full audits/inspections to new stores compiling detailed reports on any potential pest proofing issues
- To supervise, monitor and control the work, attendance and timekeeping of the Pest Mate(s) to ensure quality standards and efficiency are maintained Specifically in respect to

- Stock Control
- Stock Storage
- Pest Control Folder inspections
- Personnel Protective Equipment storage / used
- Overtime
- Time Sheets
- Vehicle maintenance
- To be the primary contact for any operational issues and point of escalation for the teams should any issues arise
- To work in a manner to support the achievement of company KPIs
- To work in a manner to support lowest cost to operate ethos and ensure all systems are working to optimum energy efficiency
- When required support other engineering disciplines to provide flexibility to service delivery
- To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the Senior Management team
- To ensure all specifications are adhered to, response times are attended in line with SLA’s and on call is managed
Financial Responsibility:
- Tools and equipment ordering within budget requirements
- Uniform procurement
- Parts / pesticide approval
- Overtime Approval
- PEST proofing budget management
People Responsibility
- To appoint, lead motivate and develop the PEST regional team
- To be the escalation contact for the regional PEST team
- Ensure new starter inductions and onboarding take place
- Carry out probationary reviews where applicable
- Absence management including welfare reviews
- Support and conduct disciplinary and grievance meetings where applicable
- Carry out appraisals and colleague development reviews
Qualifications / Experience:
- Field Biologist Qualified (Desirable)
- Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma’s Part 1 and 2
- Bird proofing work
- Fumigation services
Specific Knowledge
- PC literate
- Experience within PEST control environment / industry
- Retail experience
- Previous Supervisory experience
Specific Skills
- 3 years management experience
- Minimum 5 years broad discipline experience
