Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring the security of goods
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers upon completion of each drop-off.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations throughout all stages of the delivery process.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, ideally with a background in commercial driving.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with local roads and navigation systems is essential.
- Prior experience in managing delivery schedules efficiently is preferred.
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation, with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to transportation and logistics.
