Potter Street Fishmongers is a small business from Bishop's Stortford, established for over 8 years, we have moved our shop this year to a bigger and better location. We are social, supportive, engaging and our goal is to supply quality fish.
Bishop's Stortford fishmongers hiring! We are looking for someone to start the following role in September.
We are expanding our business with the opening of our new shop, which has been super busy. Because of this we need more people to join us!
No specific skills required. If you think this role might suit you then we're happy to train up the right candidate on the fish preparation side of things. However:
Must:
- Be able to work reliably Tuesday to Saturday most weeks.
- Have a hard-working and friendly attitude - for example one of our team members recently took an extra shift because he saw we were busy and there was an opportunity to earn more money.
- Communicate well with customers and other members of the team - for example recently a team member remembered a customers birthday which put a massive smile on their face!
Helpful but not essential:
- Fishmonger experience / fish knowledge
- Customer service or sales experience
- Have a full drivers license and be comfortable driving a small van
Job description:
Full-time position working in the shop Tuesday to Saturday (40 hours+).
This will involve:
- Fish preperation
- Serving customers
- Cleaning
- Local deliveries in company van
Pay starts at £13 per hour but is negotiable depending on relevant experience.
There will also be pay incentives to support your growth in the business.
