We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Bar Manager to join our management team. This role sits just above Bar Supervisor level and works closely with the Bar Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our busy bar.
As a family-run business in the heart of the city, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Our hotel and bar attract a wide variety of trade, from breakfast guests and business travellers to evening diners and late-night customers, making no two days the same.
Oversee the day-to-day running of the bar.
Lead, support and motivate the bar team during shifts.
Work closely with Bar Supervisors to ensure high standards are maintained.
Liaise regularly with the Bar Manager regarding daily operations, staffing and service.
Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and compliance.
Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
Support the training and development of team members.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy bar or hospitality environment.
Previous supervisory experience is essential.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and a hands-on approach.
This role does not include responsibility for beer ordering or producing staff rotas. However, if you're looking to progress into a Bar Manager position, you'll have the opportunity to shadow the management team in these areas as part of your development. Full training will be provided.
Our hotel and bar operate:
Breakfast service from 7:00am
Closing at 1:00am Sunday to Thursday
Closing at 2:00am on Fridays and Saturdays
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, is essential.
£13.71 per hour.
