Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Chef to join our culinary team as part time. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and a background in kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety. The Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining the organisation’s reputation for quality and excellence in hospitality. We have other food venues across Warrington Town Centre which we can offer more hours and help if needed.
Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to keep offerings innovative and appealing.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain a organised kitchen workspace that adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor portion control, waste management, and cost control measures to optimise efficiency.
Requirements
- A background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Kitchen experience within hospitality or restaurant settings.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent team management skills.
- Demonstrated culinary expertise with a creative flair for menu development.
- Experience in restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
