An established and highly regarded care home in the Perthshire/Tayside area is seeking an experienced and inspirational Care Home Manager to lead its nursing and care teams and continue its commitment to delivering outstanding resident-centred care following the retirement of the existing Manager.
This is a rare opportunity for a proven care home leader with significant experience in elderly care, dementia care and frail elderly nursing to take responsibility for the overall management, operational performance and future development of a successful and highly respected care service.
The Role Reporting to the Directors, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance and resident wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and inspiring multidisciplinary nursing, care and support teams.
- Delivering outstanding person-centred care and resident outcomes.
- Overseeing specialist dementia and frail elderly nursing services.
- Ensuring full compliance with Care Inspectorate and the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) standards, legislation and best practice.
- Managing occupancy, staffing levels and operational performance.
- Recruiting, mentoring and developing colleagues to achieve excellence.
- Managing budgets and ensuring financial sustainability.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- Driving continuous quality improvement and service innovation.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive management experience within the care sector.
- Registered Nurse qualification (UK qualified RGN or RMN).
- Extensive experience managing services providing Dementia Nursing Care and Frail Elderly Nursing Care.
- Demonstrable success in achieving high standards of care quality and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, people management and organisational skills.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary nursing and care teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Care Inspectorate requirements and relevant health and social care legislation.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, occupancy and operational performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- SVQ Level 4 Leadership and Management or equivalent.
- Experience in leading service improvement initiatives.
- A strong track record of staff development, retention and succession planning.
