Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, providing an exceptional experience to our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the workspace, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any queries they may have.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including the work area, equipment, and seating areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, using basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential.
- Basic maths skills to handle transactions and manage cash effectively.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of food safety practices related to food preparation and handling.
- A genuine desire to help customers with their needs and provide excellent service.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
