We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. Duties
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance software applications using languages such as JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, and Ruby on Rails.
- Develop and maintain robust APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Utilise version control systems including Git, SVN, and GitHub to manage code repositories effectively.
- Conduct code reviews, optimise existing codebases, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
- Implement automation processes within cloud environments such as AWS and Azure to streamline deployment workflows.
- Write efficient SQL queries for MySQL and SQL Server databases; manage database schema changes and optimise performance.
- Develop front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks while ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Maintain Linux-based development environments and utilise tools like VBA for specialised automation tasks.
- Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability through rigorous testing and optimisation techniques.
- Document technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and user guides for ongoing maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in software development with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages including JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, C, and VBA is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of front-end development frameworks and RESTful API design principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, SVN, GitHub, and organisational workflows.
- Experience working within cloud platforms like AWS and Azure; understanding of cloud deployment models is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of database management systems including MySQL and SQL Server; ability to optimise queries effectively.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems for development purposes; experience with automation tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
