Basic Hours: Mon – Fri, 7pm-5pm (flexible, depending loading requirements).
Overtime: Basic rate, plus Mon - Fri + 1/3, Saturday + 1/2, and Sunday double time.

About Edward William's Furniture Ltd.
We are a bespoke joinery and furniture manufacturer, tendering for the high-end office-fit out sector. We produce and install items such as, but not limited to, Reception Desks, Commercial Kitchens/Islands, Display Units, Ceiling Rafts, Seating Booths, Banquette Style Seating, Decorative Wall Panelling, offering a wide range of high-performance fabrics and custom solutions for offices, hotels, pharmaceutical companies, to name a few.
Main Objective: To provide general labour and maintenance support within a busy timber workshop environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Maintain production service areas, ensuring walkways, machines and equipment areas are kept tidy.
- Empty dust extractors.
- Ensure fire escape routes are kept clear and free from obstruction.
- Assist workshop departments to manoeuvre, wrap, pack, load, and unload items ready to go to site to be installed.
- Pack and dispose rubbish in recycling bins, keeping loading bay free from obstruction.
- Pick up supplies from local suppliers where required, with use of company vehicle.
- Occasional delivery of items to local suppliers, with use of a company vehicle.
*all Mandatory H&S training provided.
*Forklift license is (advantage).
Personal Attributes & Requirements:
- Polite, proactive, good communicator.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and physically strong to manual handle.
- Positive can do attitude, friendly and happy to assist all departments in the workshop where necessary.
- Has general knowledge of health and safety awareness, and Manual Handling technique.
- Must have a valid full clean UK Driving License (Over 21yrs to drive company vehicles)
