Responsibilities

Oversee and manage payroll and pension systems to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Handle employee expenses, statutory payments, salary adjustments, deductions, and pension contributions in compliance with current legislation and organizational policies.

Ensure all payroll activities meet agreed deadlines and service standards.

Maintain payroll records, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.

Operate and reconcile payroll control accounts, including net pay, pension, and deduction accounts.

Ensure payroll transactions are accurately recorded within financial systems.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Maintain manual and computerized records, ensuring regular reconciliation and compliance with financial controls.
Requirements:

Extensive experience in payroll administration within a medium to large organization.

Proven experience in processing payroll, pensions, statutory payments, and employee expenses.

Experience in reconciling payroll control accounts and maintaining financial records.

Ability to produce payroll reports, management information, and statutory returns.

Skilled in addressing complex payroll queries and resolving issues effectively.

Proficiency with payroll and financial systems.
Essential Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.

Payroll qualification or equivalent relevant payroll experience.

Work pattern: 3 days remote, 2 days in the office

This position is temporary to permanent, with the salary remaining the same.

Enhanced DBS required.
