Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organised Store Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining store presentation, and supporting daily operations.
This role offers an opportunity to develop organisational and communication skills within a small team.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain the organisation and visual merchandising of the store to ensure an appealing shopping environment
- Assist with stock orders
- Restock shelves and ensure stock levels are maintained throughout the day
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers to enhance their shopping experience
- Handle phone calls courteously, providing information or directing calls as necessary
- Support inventory management, including stock checks and organising deliveries
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the store at all times
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Good phone etiquette when dealing with customer or supplier enquiries
- Experience in merchandising or retail sales is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work well within a team and independently as required
- 18+ due to licencing laws
