The successful candidate will be required to provide support to clients in their won homes across Rugby and the surrounding villages including Copston Magna.
Overview
current role would be roughly 7 mornings per week for one hour and 1 1/2 hours five nights a week.
Domiciliary care setting, travel between clients homes is required.
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis with an view to go full time eventually.This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be comfortable working within care environments, and have a genuine desire to provide personalised support. A valid driving licence and experience in home care or care homes are advantageous, but full training will be provided for suitable applicants.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and light domestic chores
- Support clients in maintaining their independence within their homes
- Follow individualised care plans to ensure personalised support is delivered effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a friendly and respectful environment
- Maintain accurate records of support provided using IT systems and paper logs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff members, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care needs
- Assist with mobility and transportation when necessary, ensuring safe travel arrangements for appointments or outings
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is preferred to support transportation duties
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to providing high-quality personal support
