Flexible Bank / Relief Nursery Cook
We're looking to build a small team of reliable Bank Nursery Cooks who can provide cover for holidays, sickness and training days.
About the role
You'll be responsible for preparing healthy, home-cooked meals and snacks for up to 59 children aged 0–5 years, following our nursery menus and maintaining the highest standards of food safety.
Duties include:
- Preparing lunch and snacks
- Following our 4-week seasonal menus
- Catering for allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant
- Working alongside our friendly nursery team
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Understands allergens and special dietary requirements
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently
- Enjoys preparing fresh, nutritious meals
- Can be available at short notice when possible
