Duties
- Lead the installation and commissioning of electric vehicle charging stations at various locations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and technical specifications
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble, wire, and secure electrical components with precision and care
- Conduct electrical inspections to verify proper wiring, grounding, and system functionality in compliance with industry standards and local regulations
- Troubleshoot technical issues during installation or post-installation, diagnosing faults using electrical experience and diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate schedules, site preparations, and quality assurance checks
- Document installation processes, test results, and system configurations accurately for record-keeping and future maintenance
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, including proper handling of electrical components and personal protective equipment
Qualifications:
- 18th Edition
- SSSTS
- EV Level 3 qualification
Skills
- Proven experience with electrical systems installation, maintenance or repair in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters; experience with power tools is essential
- Strong electrical knowledge related to wiring diagrams, circuit breakers, grounding techniques, and system troubleshooting
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges quickly
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients across diverse projects
