Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Scaffolder to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding structures across a variety of construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction trades, including carpentry, roofing, and other related skills, with a focus on safety, precision, and teamwork. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring advanced technical expertise and a proactive approach to site safety and organisation.
Duties
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications
- Conduct thorough inspections of scaffolding to ensure stability and compliance throughout the duration of the project
- utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to assemble scaffolding components accurately
- Collaborate with site managers and other tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, plumbers, electricians, masons, and welders to coordinate work activities
- Assist with the installation of specialised structures for roofing, painting, or other construction tasks as required
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment by regularly inspecting tools and materials for safety hazards
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries on site
Experience
- Proven experience in advanced scaffolding within the construction industry
- Strong background in related trades such as carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is highly desirable
- Demonstrable proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in scaffolding assembly and fabrication processes
- Knowledge of current health and safety standards relevant to scaffolding operations
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics for complex scaffold layouts
- Prior experience working on diverse projects including commercial, industrial or residential sites is preferred
- Valid certification in scaffolding (e.g., CISRS or equivalent) is essential
