We are currently looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic individual to join our close-knit team in Warrington. This is a versatile dual role perfect for someone who enjoys variety. You will be responsible for delivering our woven wire mesh and welded mesh products to customers, as well as hands on support in our warehouse and factory operations when you are not on the road.
Job title: Van driver & general factory duties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safely operate a Volkswagen Crafter van to deliver products across local and regional routes.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and transported securely and correctly.
- Verify documentation, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Maintain vehicle safety by conducting routine inspections and reporting maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Support factory and warehouse operations, assisting with manufacturing tasks, stock movement and heavy lifting as part of the production team.
- Communicate effectively with the despatch and production teams to coordinate your day.
What we're looking for:
- A full UK or EU driving license held for a minimum of 12 months, with no disqualifications in the past 5 years.
- Excellent route planning skills, with a good knowledge of local roads and navigation tools.
- Hands on experience working within a warehouse, factory or production environment.
- Physical fitness as the role involves some lifting and moving heavy mesh panels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your time efficiently and work independently.
- A reliable, friendly, team-focused attitude with great communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
