Static Maintenance General Maintenance Operative
Location: West London – Client Site Based
Salary: £42,000 per year
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Lunch: 1 hour

We are currently recruiting for a Static General Maintenance Operative to work on a permanent basis at a client site in West London.
This is a great opportunity for a practical, hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys being site-based and taking responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of a building.
The Role
- Carry out planned and reactive general building maintenance
- General handyman tasks, including carpentry and furniture repairs
- Repairs to doors, locks, hinges, handles and fixtures
- Minor plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Painting, decorating and making-good works
- Install and replace signage, blinds, ceiling tiles and general fixtures
- Carry out routine building inspections and preventative maintenance
- Complete basic compliance and safety checks where trained
- Identify and report defects, hazards and additional works
- Monitor outstanding maintenance issues and ensure they are progressed
- Complete job sheets, photographs and maintenance records
- Liaise with the client, contractors, engineers and helpdesk
- Provide support to visiting engineers and contractors when required
About You
We're looking for someone with proven experience in general building maintenance, facilities management, property maintenance or a similar environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience carrying out a range of general maintenance and handyman tasks
- Good knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating
- A practical, hands-on and problem-solving approach
- Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Experience within a static/site-based maintenance role would be advantageous
- Any relevant trade qualification or accreditation would be beneficial
- Ability to recognise when specialist contractors are required
