Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Part Time Bar Person to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry while providing exceptional service in a lively environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the till system
- Ensure all drinks are prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables or seating areas as required
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure compliance with health standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when engaging with customers
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about our products and service standards
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
