Job Summary
We are seeking a Deputy Coordinator to support the smooth operation of the Monday Club at the Eynsham Day Centre. The successful candidate will assist the Coordinator in various aspects including supporting volunteers, running activities, and generally ensuring high standards of care for our elderly members. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with leadership qualities, and a passion for providing compassionate care to older adults. The Deputy Coordinator will play a vital part in maintaining a positive environment and supporting the well-being of residents. The DC will run the day in the absence of the Coordinator
MAIN DUTIES
The Deputy Co-ordinator should fully support the overall aim of the Day Centre which is to promote the health, welfare and general well-being of elderly people in Eynsham and the surrounding area
The Deputy Co-ordinator, with support from the Coordinator and volunteers, will undertake various responsibilities as agreed. A certain degree of flexibility is required as duties may change occasionally due to the nature of the work with elderly members
The Deputy Coordinator will take on reasonable responsibilities as agreed with the Coordinator
Specific duties to include:
To attend Monday Club on a weekly basis
To support the Coordinator in her work at Monday Club
To deputise for the Coordinator when she is absent
To undertake some duties as agreed with the Coordinator
Undergo any training as necessary
Encourage the involvement and interest of the local community in the Day Centre
Attend committee meetings as invited
Qualifications
Some proven supervising experience
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for older adults.
Ability to work effectively within a team whilst demonstrating organisational skills.

Pay: £12.50 per hour
